Summer visit to Cape Cod 2009

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend
a portion of our summer on Cape Cod this year with Joe's family.
Everyone asked me what we would do on such a long visit.
Well, here are some pics of our adventure.

First of all, this was our view from my in-law's back windows.
So just hanging out on the porch was a treat!
We took lots of walks.

Max spent most of his time indoors to protect that "fair" skin.

Chandler and Maggie swam in the jacuzzi.

Maggie loved dancing with Auntie Susan.

We learned to play Ladder Golf.

Hannah, Mom and Madison kayaked.

Chandler and Joe went to a Red Sox game.

It was Chandler's first time in Fenway Park.

We spent a couple of different evenings on Duxbury
Beach with family and friends.
(Joe, Jim and the little ones)

Joe's sister Audrie and her husband Jeff were our
hosts both times, and they were the best!

Madison enjoying a toasted treat.

We cooked out right on the beach.

I took Hannah and Madison to
Martha's Vineyard for a day.
Here they are posing on the porch of one the
Gingerbread Houses.

We rode the Flying Horses. You collect rings during
the ride in hopes of getting the "Brass Ring".
Yes, Hannah snagged it and was very proud!

We shopped and ate unhealthy, yet delicious food.

Then the Island Queen took us back home.

A photographer came out one day to take
pictures of the families.
Joe kept the little ones occupied while we waited
for our turn.

Courtney helped keep Max happy.

This is Joe's mom, her husband, and all the
grandchildren.

Me and my girls.

Our friends Rex and Paula came out
for a week and visited.
Rex was a great playmate for Maggie!

Chillin' with Paula and Max on the beach.

Chandler had his first lobster. I think he
enjoyed pulling it apart more than eating it!

We spent a couple of days at Lake Waukewan
in New Hampshire.
Maggie loved playing with her cousin Natalie.

The weather was so nice and there was lots to do.

Joe took me to see Paul McCartney in Fenway one night.
We were right on the field! It was a great concert even
though he didn't play "Maybe I'm Amazed"
(that's our song).
We went to Patriot's camp one day.
I don't know who had more fun, the kids or Joe.
Chandler fit right in!
As you can see, we had lots of fun.
Hopefully we can do it again next year!
